S'mores Pie with Marshmallow Creme
This delightful dessert combines a crunchy graham cracker crust, velvety chocolate filling, and a perfectly toasted marshmallow creme for an irresistible plant-based twist on the classic s'mores experience.
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups vegan graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
For the Chocolate Filling:
- 1 1/2 cups vegan chocolate chips
- 1 cup canned coconut cream
For the Marshmallow Creme Topping:
- 1 tub (6 oz) Funky Mello marshmallow creme
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C)
- In a bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted coconut oil, and maple syrup until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the vegan chocolate chips and coconut cream together, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate filling mixture over the cooled graham cracker crust.
- Place the pie in the refrigerator and allow it to set for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate filling is firm.
- Once the chocolate filling has set, spread a generous layer of marshmallow creme over the top.
- For an authentic s'mores experience, use a kitchen torch to lightly brown the marshmallow creme. Alternatively, you can place the pie under the broiler for a brief moment, but keep a close eye to prevent burning.
- Return the pie to the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set the marshmallow creme.
